Farringford House was the home of poet Alfred Lord Tennyson and his family for many years. It was recently restored to its Victorian phase, after being run as a hotel and as a Pontins holiday camp. The gardens, estate and house are now open to the public. There are many new trees being planted, and the walled garden (which had holiday bungalows in it in the 1950s), has been excavated and replanted as a Victorian garden.

I visited in May 2026. A number of photos of some of the trees will eventually appear here.
