Mottistone Gardens are maintained by The National Trust. The manor house is partially open, housing a second hand book store. The gardens are in a sheltered valley with herbaceous borders, exotic plants, olive grove and organic kitchen garden, surrounding the ancient manor. There is also the wider estate with woodland extending onto the moors.

I visited in May 2026. A number of photos of some of the trees will eventually appear here.
